If you've been watching my IG stories you'd know by now that I'm OBSESSED with matcha and drink it every single morning. I've always had issues whenever I would drink iced coffee's so I decided to make a change and switch to Matcha. Yes, I even cut out my Starbucks trips because their iced coffee's aren't good for me either and the way they make Matcha is just too sweet and contain way too many calories. No thank you. I prefer to make my own.
Matcha matcha matcha. It’s my thing.
You’ve seen it everywhere, you’ve heard about it everywhere & it looks...interesting?… until you try it. If it’s prepared right, let me tell ya, it’s SO GOOD.
When making matcha and over all, drinking it the key is making sure the Matcha is ceremonial grade ONLY!! Why?? Because that's the real sh*t.
Culinary grade matcha is what baristas at coffee shops like Starbucks use. It's an ingredient add-on into recipes. Ceremonial grade is the actual matcha powder from Japan and usually has a more authentic taste compared to the culinary grade which is just added for taste with a TON of sweeteners to hide the flavor out.
So with that, THIS is my fav go-to matcha powder I use (I also usually have these in my purse) for on the go! they're too good!!
This sungodess matcha is also key for firming and brightening skin and it contains: Catechins to help curb sugar and hunger cravings, Chlorophyll supports skin clarity, Caffeine supports lipid metabolism, L-theanine promotes calm and balance and is 100% organic, ceremonial-grade and quadruple toxin screened!!! YES PLS.

HOW I MAKE MY MATCHA:
♡ 1-2 tsp of Matcha powder
♡ ½ tsp of raw maple syrup
♡ drop of creamer
♡ ½ cup of almond milk
♡ pour over ice
I add my Matcha powder with 3-4 tbsp of water, ½ tsp of maple syrup and whisk together in a matcha bowl and pour over ice with ½ cup almond milk and then add a tiny drop of creamer.
Side note: if you’re in the market for a milk frother, THIS IS IT, let me tell ya. Having a milk frother at home is the best way to make sure you’re not drinking nasty-ass sweetened almond milk. How many times did you go to your local coffee shop for an almond milk cappuccino, only to find out later they’re using sweetened almond milk. No thank you. My very own milk frother? Yes plz.
THE BENEFITS OF MATCHA:
♡ rich in fiber & chlorophyll ( more on chlorophyll here ).
♡ lowers cholesterol & blood sugar.

♡ enhances mood & concentration.
♡ contains vitamin c, selenium, chromium, zinc & magnesium. { via }
You really want to try to get ceremonial grade matcha when you’re shopping. These are 4 boxes that need to be ticked in order for matcha to be ceremonial grade: { via }
♡ Is it from Japan?
♡ Has it been shade-grown?
♡ Is it produced from pure tencha tea leaves?
♡ Has it been traditionally stone-ground? ( Authentic matcha is ).
WHAT'S SUN GODDESS MATCHA?
"Sun Goddess Matcha is organic, ceremonial-grade matcha made by third generation teamasters, using 130-year-old techniques. Our matcha is sourced from Kagoshima, situated in a lush valley at the southernmost tip of the Japanese archipelago – the furthest distance from environmental toxins – the source of this matcha is unrivaled in purity. Our tea farm is located high in the mountains where cooler temperatures are a natural insect repellent. Legend has it that the SUN GODDESS Amaterasu appeared at a volcano within sight of our tea gardens and blessed the land with pure light." {via}
Are you into an iced drink or hot??
Even if it's super cold out, iced is the way to go for me! I feel like iced drinks just taste better?
Anyways, If you're a matcha lover or not let me know how you like your matcha and what's your go-to drink!
Cheers!!! XO
