Let’s talk about my favorite subject, shall we?
Eyebrows.
I cant decide If I love lashes more or eyebrows but either way both alone complete any look and are so simple to do. But for the sake of this post we'll stick to talking about brows.
For me, I love a thick brow which is crazy for me to say because little ol' Susan back in the day hated her bushy and thick eyebrows ( I regret over plucking and waxing them ) I really do regret it and wish I can take it back.
Oh well, we live and we learn.
I look at Luna's eyebrows and obsess over them!!! They're perfect and I really do hope she never touches them like I did to mine.
From letting them grow, to eyebrow serums for growth, to a double tint. Its ALL my thing.
I also ALWAYS brush the brows up. That's key.
Brows frame your whole face and make or break the look honestly.
For me to get that thick brow look I go get them laminated and tinted. It really does the job and makes my brows look PERFECT!! For the most part I do them with a brow pencil and brow gel. The trick is to lightly shade in with a brow pencil for a more natural lifted eyebrow look and then to go in with a brow gel and sparse up those brow hairs to make them look more fuller and thick.
TIPS + TRICKS FOR A GOOD BROW:
+ Brush your brows.
It’s a place that’s hard to exfoliate, so dead skin can build up. Brushing them unblocks follicles and stimulates blood flow to the area which increases hair growth.
+ Use something to nourish your brows.
+ Stop tweezing.
Don’t like your eyebrows? Stop tweezing and see a professional. There are so many options to make your brows look better ( a new shape, a brow tint, or a lamination can work wonders for your overall look )
MY EYEBROW ROUTINE:
Brow serum
Brow pencil ( start lightly at the beginning and go darker towards the ends and then brush through with a spoolie to blend and remove excess darkness )
Brow gel ( go through the hairs and brush up )
BROW HACKS:
+ If you don’t have a brow gel, try spraying a strong hold hairspray on a spoolie. then, backcomb, wait for it to get tacky, then style.
+ Buy a brow pencil slightly lighter than you normally do and go light-handed when filling in. This will make your pencil last way longer too!
There you have it – some of my fav brow tips and a little on my routine! If you’re in Los Angeles ( Beverly Hills ) I recommend booking with Ali at SugaringNYC. They do more than tint + lamination. They do waxing, threading, v-facials, lash lifts, etc. Be sure to check them out!!
